Hi I'm Bobbie I've struggled all my adault life up and down with my weight my highest was just a few months ago at 258 lbs I couldn't seem to lose any so I decided to check into beriatric surgery and everything fell into place I was surprised how soon I got to get it I started in April and my surgery was June 23,2015th I went on my 2 week pre op diet I lost 15 lbs and I weighed Sunday and I weigh 228 lbs now I'm looking forward to my new me and reading everyone's story it was rough the first few days getting fluids down and protien shakes in and all them meds but it got easier with help of my hubby he is on me making sure I'm doing what I'm suppose to only problem I got is I want to eat everyone eats arround me I'm not hungry but I want to eat

head hunger is culprit. drink plenty of Water and see if u are still hungry.

it is hard to not eat when everyone around you is -even when you aren't hungry - your head is saying - hey you should be eating - FEED ME!! - but your new tiny tummy is saying no! i am not hungry don't listen to to your head!! LOL!!! - it is so hard and even now - i am a year out i give in to head hunger at times - we are human - but learn to eat those high Protein things and trick the head hunger feed it good stuff! drink lots of Water - eat high protein food high protein Snacks - find a good high Protein Shake - i like Syntrax shakes - take a walk - but you can do this!!! Good luck! :D

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
