Kritter 1 Posted June 29, 2015 Hi. Was sleeved 6/2 and am tolerating soft foods well but my stomach is growling constantly. I read that it could be fro excess stomach acid or the healing process. It's driving me crazy. My stomach starts to growl within a half an hour of eating. Has anyone experienced this? I meet my Water and Protein goals and Vitamins. I heard Gaviscon can help. I have a message in to my doctor but it's becoming more intolerable. Ugh.
natalie080 7 Posted June 29, 2015 I'm totally with you. I eat & I'm definitely not hungry anymore when I finish, but then I'm totally feeling starving again within the hour. I take a Prevacid for the stomach acid, so I wouldn't imagine that acid is my problem. Also, the second I get that growling hungry feeling, I drink Water first to try and satiate but it doesn't work. I'm with you. And it's not head hunger, I don't even want to eat.
CloserToFine 172 Posted June 29, 2015 I was sleeved 6/18, so I'm not even 2 weeks out yet, but I totally agree. This is NOT head hunger. This is a yawning cavernous void in my stomach, and it's uncomfortable. One thing I've noticed: it's worse immediately after "eating" something (I'm still on the all liquid diet because of hernia repair) that challenges me. In other words, it's worse if I'm pushing the diet progression (for example, if I've had a thicker Fluid, something closer to puree than thin liquid. If I stick with thin liquid, it's not as bad).
