Curse? You might not be getting enough at anyone sitting to hold you off until the next meal, but I would think you are eating a little too close together. I think we are supposed to be waiting 3 or 4 hours in between...

Don't want you to think I was judging you! I never seem to actually be full until evening but I am too scared to eat too close together. Having said that, I just had something to eat that wasn't satisfying so then I ate a Laughing Cow cheese wedge very fast and was trying to get in a popsicle before I was too full and realized it was too late. Luckily I finally threw away half the popsicle but only because I feared vomiting! Scary that I have the same old habits - like I was fooling someone by eating quickly! (PS - there is no one else here! Why would I be trying to "hide" food? Only from myself! So foolish....)

I have never barfed our felt like barfing I just feel full but soon after I'm hungry again. But I'm still under 600 calories a day so I guess I'm ok. I have had dumping syndrome or whatever it's called twice and it blows. Literally. :)

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. I have not done that yet and hope that I don't BUT I haven't been as adventurous with food as you have yet. Mostly out of fear which I have to get over or I will never be able to eat nutriously!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
