holliwood1980 143 Posted June 28, 2015 I had my 6 month post op visit the other day. I can't believe it has already been that long! It seems like just yesterday I was struggling to eat broth! I have come a long way and learned even more these 6 months. I still struggle with certain foods but I have never been more sure that this was the best decision of my life! I still have a ways to go and still sometimes have to force myself to go to the gym and occasionally force myself to not eat peanuts lol, but I will get there. I am down 91 pounds so far. I really hoped to hit 100 pounds by 6 months but I know that I need to be proud of what I have accomplished. I basically lost the equivalent of my niece and nephew put together. That's crazy! The doctor was very pleased and my blood work all looks great! I hope everyone has similar and even better success! To anyone starting out, it is very hard especially at first. It's overwhelming at times and an emotional journey. Sometimes I miss my old friends sugar and fat, but I quickly get over it and know I would do this again in a heartbeat!
