wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted December 15, 2015 Dr Hoehn is amazing! I plan to have him do my gallbladder surgery sometime soon. As long as you follow the rules, you will lose. And the stalls happen...don't sweat them!
KraftyK 1 Posted December 18, 2015 Did my KC group have any back and leg aches after surgery? That is about my only discomfort post surgery day 1! Oh and the chills, but maybe just because it has been cold outside.
Angie1982 5 Posted December 18, 2015 My back hurt for a good 2 to 3 weeks. I think it was a combo of surgery gases and the hospital bed. Leg pain not too much though. As long as your not having any edema and or redness/tenderness in your legs also.
grandmaofone 411 Posted December 18, 2015 I started to have some leg cramps and I was sometime low on potassium before surgery so I started taking a supplement, my back hurt for a few weeks but I think it was because I lost enough weight that I needed to get my back adjusted. Went to chiropractor and my back sounded like a music instrument making all kinds of noise. I am pretty sure that your spine compensates for all the extra weight and when it starts coming off it needs to be adjusted. I have went a few times since surgery and after adjustment I feel better and my back doesn't hurt.

mom2wils 16 Posted December 20, 2015 Hey group! Just came across this thread - great to see you all doing so well! I am currently banded but in the process of going through all the hoops to get it revised to a sleeve. Thought it was going to be done this month but due to insurance stuff looks like it won't be until February or March. Minimally Invasive Surgical Hospital did my band in 2008 and will do my revision. So looking forward to getting on with the sleeve! And looking forward to hearing more about your journeys!!
KendyLou 15 Posted December 22, 2015 Hi, Just found this thread. I'm happy to find a group of folks from the KC area. I just had my sleeve done by Dr. Hoehn on the 15th. While I really didn't get to know him well I just love the staff and nurses there.
CzechPleez 6 Posted December 30, 2015 Hi everyone! I'm new to this group and discussion, but not new to sleevers. I have several family members and friends who have been sleeved, which prompted me to pursue my own. I will be sleeved on Jan 18, 2016 by Dr. Hoehn. I'm looking forward to getting the party started!Happy New Year to all of you! CJ
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted December 30, 2015 I just can't say enough great things about the surgeons at the KC Bariatric center of excellence. Dr Hoehn is amazing! I get to see him again in 2 weeks so he can remove that dang gallbladder!
