RuxieGirl 11 Posted June 24, 2015 Wow, this is so hard. I am starting Day #3 and I don't even want to get out of bed. It's amazing what a motivator food was/is for me and now it's gone. I am allowed 4 shakes, 2 bars, and a small banana each day for my 14 days. What doesn't help is that I am at the beach with my 14 person extended family and there is junk food everywhere! I knew these two events would coincide but knowing it doesn't make it any easier. Plus, I am a savory/ comfort food girl, not at all into sweets, so these "chocolate" and "vanilla" "shakes" are just icky to me. Ok, pity party over. Anyone else want to commiserate? It will all be worth it, I know, but this is really hard!!
BubblyTXGirl 30 Posted June 24, 2015 It is so very hard. It will be hard post surgery too... ???? and then if you do like I did, your brain sort of triggers something and you think... "It looks good, it smells good, but it will make me sick... Then you no longer want it. I was the biggest chocolate lover ever... Now I can't stand it!! You are right it will be worth it and soon enough you will be seeing the results of surgery that will make all the sacrifices you are making worth it! BubblyTXGirl 30 Posted June 24, 2015 Im so glad @@RuxieGirl, I am 9 months out, and honestly, I don't know why my brain did what it did... I think it was just knowing how much recovery and everything I was (am) going through I didn't want to sabotage myself either. Please keep me posted on how you are doing! Im super excited for you and your Journey!
alisiak 25 Posted July 4, 2015 I am still on all liquid diet and 4days post op. I am struggling watching my family eat normal foods. I have found myself feeling hungry but I know it's just 'Head hunger'. I just keep telling myself, it's not worth it and to charge through it!
SAD HATTER 122 Posted July 14, 2015 I love Unjury chicken Protein mix. I hate sweets so having that on hand is a must for me.
TXMissy 211 Posted July 14, 2015 chicken broth saved my life during my liquid diet. I know some companies have a savory Protein Soup mix instead of the shakes. You will look back in a couple of months and know you struggled, but you also know it paid off. You will thank yourself for everything you did. It's funny I went to lunch and ordered steamed veggies and the amount of butter they were in was disgusting. I remember choking down the same veggies 6 months ago and thinking how flavorless these veggies were. Something happened to me. I don't understand it!!
