Hello All....I was sleeved on may 18th (so 5 weeks out). I am now on soft foods and feeling hungry ALL THE TIME.

I can only have 3-4 oz of food and eat mainly Protein...Wait until an hour for Water (after)...But be sure, an hour after eating my 4 oz of cottage cheese, I'm Hungry!?!?!?!

It seems I should not eat too often so I wait until my snack time to have more food.

I was just wondering if I am the only one like this? In my sleeve fairytale, I was never going to be hungry ever again...???

Is it just me? I need tips, help!

Are you getting all your fluids in for the day? Dehydration can cause hunger feelings. Also are you taking any antacids? Too much acid in the stomach can cause you to "feel" hungry. I am 5-1/2 weeks out and I never get hungry. I have to watch the clock and make myself eat.

Wow...I wish I was you!!!!

Yes, I do check my fluids and make sure I get at least 2 litres of fluids per day (8 cups)...As for the antacids, I take Prevacid 30mg each day...

Anyone else???

I am 4 weeks out and I am sure I get hungry, not always but usually an hour or so after I eat. I drink Water 30-45 minutes after eating. I am not sure if that's normal for some or not. I don't think it's emotional or habitual either because it's not consistent or on certain days or times. IDK

Yes, it's the same for me...I'm sure it's hunger and not stomach pain because when I drink Water when I'm hunger, I can feel it go down my oesophagus and stomach...So it's empty. Maybe I should eat more solid food.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
