Imma suggest that if you missed reading something as basic as "add Protein powder to milk" it's possible you've missed some other things.

Re-read your materials.

You're not on pain meds now. That could make a difference.

;)

I swear I re-read the same three pages of my surgery manual that covered the post-op diet at least 10 times a day my first month after surgery. While I was planning what to eat or drink and while I was preparing what to eat or drink I would review the options.

You're not alone in the empty feeling, I posted something similar about this in the General forums of the Sleeve section. I am 3 days shy of 2 months post-op and I still don't get hungry, I get empty when I forget to eat. Premier Protein is a fantastic choice, definitely a good pick. I still drink those to this day. You can totally do this, be strong and let that weight fall off of you. Looking at your stats, we're about the same starting weight after I lost for day of and started at 256; not too much more than you. Stick to your diet restrictions until you're given the go ahead to experiment, and you'll be so happy for the amount you drop because of it. :)

Like 22 days past your surgery? I am 24 days out and this week I was allowed to start on puréed foods. I have a little oatmeal in the morning and usually tuna or egg salad. I'm easily staying within my calorie range and I feel satisfied and full. Tonight I put some chicken breast in the food processor and puréed it. I mashed up a lil carrots. I only ate maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons and I'm still full and that was hours ago. Hope this helps

Ps I can have Beans mashed up too. So the retried Beans you had should be ok. Just get the fat free so they aren't full of lard ????

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
