Where do i begin? ok...well hey! my name is Jen. I'm one month shy of my 2 year anniversary. I haven't been active on the site in quite sometime. Since i dropped my weight, my life has changed. i'm so busy! always doing something. i'm back today though...shocked that i'm a veteran! i didn't realize.

Lately, i've been looking at my progress. i've been able to maintain my weight. i'm staying under my surgeon's recommended goal. however, i still have body fat that i'd like to get rid of. somehow, because my clothes fit nicely, i've managed to slack off. so im back, because i still want to wear a bikini when i go away for my 30th birthday. i need some motivation. i need to know that i can tighten up.

So, please, your stories, your pics, your success are(is) greatly appreciated.

Welcome back! It's fantastic that you've been able to reach and maintain your goal weight. Are you mostly just wanting to focus on building some muscle and becoming a bit leaner?

HIIT cardio is best for fat loss along with diet. I loosely track my macros in addition to my calories but for the folks who really do follow their macros, I've seen some amazing transformations. You can google IIFYM calculator to calculate your levels.

I would also keep hitting the weights as well to provide shape and definition to your body as you shed fat. Keep us posted on your progress. Great job so far! Can you even believe you have to worry about looking too thin!!! ????

Tracking macros, low carb, obliques make a showing.

Can't begin to think what these arms would look like if I didn't lift weights.

I will definitely look deeper into HIIT. I don't dig too deep into tracking macros and all of that because I don't want to drive myself crazy. I'm bad enough when it comes to calories. I might give it a try if it doesn't seem like too much. It is absolutely crazy to think about looking too thin! Who would've thought. I will definitely keep you posted. And you look great by the way! Thanks for the encouragement ????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
