JamieLogical 8,710 Posted June 22, 2015 Is there a white coating on the back of your tongue or roof/sides of your mouth? I had oral thrush as a result of my liquid antibiotics immediately post-op, so it could be that.
jhclikesshopping@gmail.com 285 Posted June 22, 2015 Yep - I had it too!!! Mine was from the Protein shakes. Once I got to regular food - it started to disappear. Also - I used a tongue scraper (used for halitosis). Helped a lot!!!
AvaFern 3,516 Posted June 22, 2015 I had to use a toungue scraper too...the act of chewing real food naturally clears that junk off your tongue, so when you're stuck drinking only liquids you get that weird film. The tongue scraper fixed it up for me.
TammyDTM 391 Posted June 22, 2015 @@DreamsComeTrue15 The "slime" didn't go away for me until I stopped with the artificial sweeteners. The "sugar-free" puddings, jello's, Protein shakes, etc. were the culprits. They also made my saliva foamy.

NikkiDoc 312 Posted June 22, 2015 Mine went away when I went to soft foods. Until then I would suck on a mint. I think they are Ice Breakers. Cinnamon and Wintergreen was the best for me. They were really strong. I would normally throw the second half away.
