Get FREE weight loss surgery at the Alfred hospital as a public patiens

Just wanting to let people know that The Alfred hospital in Prahran do weight loss surgery as a public patient.

Re Gov reals you need to do an 8 week food and exercise program which just entails writing what you eat for a week and a little about exercise. This is not being done to make you lose weight rather to educate you.

I was put on the waiting list in April and my surhery is on July 22nd. Cant wait

How long did it take you to get in for surgery once your GP referred you? I received a letter from the Alfred 6 weeks ago but have seen posts saying it can take years to get in ?
