mmartin3 3 Posted June 20, 2015 Hey everyone, I got banded a week ago on 6-12. Like everyone else I've been struggling with my weight and eating habits my whole life. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years ago and have gain about 40 in the last 6 months. This was my last resort after years of sacrifice. I am surprised at how quick my recovery has been, i went back to work on Tuesday, 4 days after surgery and have had no problems. Sounds bad, but that is exactly the problem. Its very hard to keep on track when I'm feeling so hungry and my stomach is tolerating everything i put in it. I can't wait until my first fill, i don't want to start gaining the weight I've lost so far ????
gowalking 10,790 Posted June 20, 2015 Welcome to the forum @mmartin3. I can't speak to the hunger you are feeling because I was lucky enough to have restriction right away though I have read about alot of people who struggle at the beginning. I'm sure you'll get comments that will help you through this part of it.
Bandista 7,466 Posted June 21, 2015 Hi there and welcome. I am some one that needed several fills to reach the green zone. You can do this!
Nikki5678 0 Posted June 21, 2015 I got banded on the same day as you and was feeling good by Tuesday too. I suffered horrible trapped wind and I still can't burp 10 days on. I wasn't hungry at all until Thursday, but have now started feeling like I want to eat. I am really missing chewing too, so can't wait to go onto something a bit more solid
