polkat50 1 Posted July 3, 2015 Hang in there Stevodreo. Everyday gets a little better. I am still having issues with gas but incisions feel fine. I have no problem getting all of my Water in but the Protein is tough. They are not kidding when they say this is a full time job.
stevodreo 4 Posted July 3, 2015 Thaky you polkat50 for your encouraging words. Its been a long 3.5 days. Getting discharged now. Still haven't had any full liquids like shakes etc but im starting when I get home later. Its ironic how my clothes that I wore to surgery don't fit anymore. I can barely close any buttons on my shirt or pants. Im still very bloated and my stomach is huge. Never been so big. Whats your Protein goal for the next week or so? My dr wants minimum 60-80 grams. I can relate to feeling bloated. My stomach still feels huge and heavy. I would say go home and get some sleep but you are going to busy all day trying to get you Water and Protein in. My protein goal is 60-80 grams as well.
ZombieChic 11 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) I had SIPS on 3/25 in North Carolina. These doctors do NOT use a drain tube! They stitch and glue you up completely and I've not heard of any issues. I healed up nicely. I can't imagine coming home with the drain tube, as it must a nuisance. Edited July 13, 2015 by ZombieChic

ShellMilliner 233 Posted July 13, 2015 Sorry it's been a while since I've checked in on the forum. It looks like everyone is doing well. I'm almost 3.5 post op now and feeling fantastic! For those of you that are freshly post op or getting ready for your procedure, the most important thing to remember is you do improve everyday, trust me! I have absolutely no regrets and wish I had done this several years earlier.
polkat50 1 Posted July 13, 2015 I did not have a drain either but I know of others who have. It would have been a hassle. Thanks for Facebook support group. I had SIPS on 3/25 in North Carolina.
