My name is Anna, my stats are

5'5" Staring at 272, cl liq diet 246, 3 days post op. 238.

I was sleeved on Tuesday June 16, 2015. I was able to discharge the next day and was happy to do so. (My surgeon said I could stay if I wanted too)

I feel that I was able to go because I did a lot of work before my surgery. I had 4 months for my insurance so I started walking. I was up to about 2 miles every other day. This did get hard on the clear liq. I did for 2 weeks but for the most part it helped. The day of my surgery @ 10:00am I was walking at 3pm and did every hour. Belched a ton but really have not had to much shoulder pain from the gas.

I have been nauseated but never vomited. (Very close) I am drinking Water, cream of rice and Protein Shakes but I'm worried that their is going to be complications. I do get pain after 2 sips.

Who has worried about a leak or other weird stuff. I'm really occupied with this going to good to be true.

Welcome, Anna!

Don't worry, I think most of us were concerned about complications post-op. The chance of having a leak is very small. The only way I stopped stressing about it was with the passage of time. Everyday that passes limits your chance of complications even more. It's normal to be concerned about it, but as long as you're feeling ok and you don't have a fever, chances are you don't have a leak.

Good luck in your future post-op!

Congratulations on your surgery! And good job with all the hard work you've already put in!
I totally relate to being scared of complications. Every time I felt bad the word, "LEAK" went through my brain. Thankfully, it was NEVER the case. Complications DO happen, but they are pretty rare. So ... BREATHE! :) There's a good chance that you're not going to have any problems. If you DO feel any symptoms like chest pain, uncontrollable shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, or fever then call your doctor ASAP. But it sounds like you're doing an amazing job - the pain after 2 sips is normal, BTW. Your tummy is still very swollen. Just take it super slow! Keep it up!

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
