My story is a long one, but if you want to read it on my blog chicken, eggs, repeat) I have lost 10 lbs of that.

I have not been feeling myself lately. I hate the way I look and am terrified of gaining weight back. I seem to have gained it all right in my abdominal region, which makes it so many things do not fit correctly at all. My confidence is low, and I am so sick of dieting I could harpoon something.

I know the end result will be worth it, and I need to go back in and get a fill, but I am struggling so hard right now. I would do anything to get down past 160 (my lowest) and hit 150 (my original pre-op goal) and I want to be 140 (over the moon, never going to happen goal).

I feel hungry all the time. I eat good, healthy veggies, I cut out cheese, I make very good choices because the band taught me that, however, my willpower right now is struggling and I want to see lower numbers on that scale.< /p>

Any tips or tricks you guys have to maximize your weight loss would be phenomenal right now. I need a pep talk :(

I don't have a pep talk for you but I want you to know you're not alone. I had my surgery Jan 8th 2015 and am down 45lbs. It feels great that I can move easier and feel better about myself.

HOWEVER. .. The last month has been hell???? I have been stuck at the same number no matter what I do. I have increased my exercise and i journal everything I eat, but nothing. I try very hard to stay positive and stick to the 8 golden rules of the band. I have even printed off encouraging phrases from pinterest and put them on the fridge. The hardest part of this journey is your brain not cooperating and I don't think that is focused on as much as it should be. Hang in there you can do it!!! Just a few lbs at a time and you will be at your goal in no time.

First off, congratulations on the 10 lb weight loss ! I know its hard, but you stuck to the rules and you lost it !!! Great job ! My surgeon told me when I got somewhat close to my goal, the last 20 lbs would be on my stomach, and they would be the hardest to lose. Well, he was right. I was stuck at 160 for well over a year, but I was very happy in my new , healthy body. Then I joined a Pilates class early February, and my stomach is soooo much flatter, and my jeans are too loose !! Since you dont have time to go to a class , try googling for free exercise classes online. Pilates is working on your core, where women tend to "store " the fat . Good luck !

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
