WoodenHearts 29 Posted June 17, 2015 So I'm 5 days post op and feeling ok, a bit sore around incisions a really bad wind pain but other than that I'm not bad. I'm struggling to stick to the liquid diet and have had a few puréed/ sloppy foods, only small bits to test the waters and they seem to have gone down fine, I only have 2 small mouthfuls then I'm full but will I have done any damage? The thought of looking at another Soup or shake fills me with dread. Anyone else had similar problems? Do you think I'd be ok to continue?
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted June 17, 2015 after surgery, the inside is healing..testing waters is and could be dangerous. why chance it just after having WLS?? please dont. immediately get back to the liquid and then soft phases as your doctor advised for best results and continue to follow their instructions. and i dont mean to sound mean/nasty, but what would your doctor say if you asked him/her? i bet they'd say what i just wrote...call and ask them hang in there you only just begun
WoodenHearts 29 Posted June 17, 2015 @@CarolinaGirl you're so right! What am I doing? I waited years for this opportunity and now that I have it im just leading myself down the wrong path, it's hard to break a habit of a lifetime but I need to try it or I'll just stay fat and miserable forever. Thank you for replying <
B-52 7,113 Posted June 18, 2015 Agreed...5 days is nothing, or 30 days, compared to something you will have for the rest of your life....
