Luvnme4eva 29 Posted July 31, 2015 I went in on the 27th of July so star so good. Had a bad night yesterday but the nurses quickly jumped on it and got it worked out. Going home tomorrow
Luvnme4eva 29 Posted August 2, 2015 5 days post op, feeling tired still. Fighting to get in all this Protein, just can't seem to consume that much liquid just yet. But so far so good. My husband has been by my side every step of the way I'm so great full to have his support during all this transitioning.
cdesimone 5 Posted August 2, 2015 I feel the same @luvnme4eva. Are you still taking the pain meds? That might be why you are so tired, I stopped mine the next day because they just make me so tired. I had my surgery on the 30th, so day 3 postop. I was up walking that evening (not much but still). My incision are a little sensitive but I've had no pain. I as well can't take down all that liquid/protein. I'm just not hungry, my stomach just always feels full. I can do about 4 ounces of my Protein Shakes at a time and thats only 3 times a day. So again i'm not getting in everything. I think the most important part is keeping hydrated.

tcon 305 Posted August 3, 2015 How are you feeling @@tcon?Feeling pretty good! Sore and my belly is really swollen. I'm one of the lucky ones that gained 10 pounds from the swelling. ???????????? Pain isn't too bad. A little fatigue. How are you doing?
cdesimone 5 Posted August 3, 2015 Yes my belly is swollen too. Those 10 lbs will come right off, I gained 5. just trying to walk at least every couple of hours. First day I didn't take a nap. So hopefully I will sleep well tonight. That's probably the hardest part for me. I wake up every 2 hours to roll over. A little uncomfortable.
Luvnme4eva 29 Posted August 3, 2015 Same here I sleep kind of sitting up, waiting for my belly swelling to go away and this random gas LOL . Went outside today for a house warming party geesh my family and food omg there was just so much, but I had my bottle of Water. I'm just tired if being tired. dlmacarthur 10 Posted August 3, 2015 I was sleeved on the 29th and I still have considerable pain and swelling myself. It seems to be a little bit better each day but It does seem the more I'm up, the more sore/tired I am that day but the next day I feel more energized and better if that makes sense. Today was the first day I finally hit the 300 cal mark with foods but I'm still having a hard time with that. I had to start setting a timer to remind me to eat. tcon 305 Posted August 3, 2015 I'm waking up a lot at night too. I'm still on pain meds but take less and less each day. They also removed my gallbladder, and I had a hiatal hernia repair.
Luvnme4eva 29 Posted August 3, 2015 I also had a hiatal hernia repair, my doctor kept joking about having my stomach in my chest, but I'm glad he fixed that LOL . now my stomach is nicely placed under my left breast bone .
