titan05 174 Posted June 15, 2015 I am 45 year old male 5'10 /260 pounds with a failed band. Very apprehensive about revision surgery. I have cancelled my date twice and was ready to go June 7 but my doctor has to cancel and reschedule for June 23. Beginning to second guess this decision. I know several people that have had great success. Any advice is welcome!

lexiemia 78 Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) I had a band for 11 years. I lost 100 lbs with the band and kept it off until my band failed. I gained back 87 lbs. I had revision surgery on May 28. The recovery was much easier than with the band. After I came home I didn't take any pain meds. I have lost 18 lbs. the sleeve is a lot different than the band. No stuck food. No vomiting or sliming. I am so glad I had the sleeve. I know it may take me time but as long as I follow my plan I know I will get back to my goal. I say go for it. I don't think you will regret it.
