bigirleurope 1 Posted June 15, 2015 How many out there had an issue with food and discuss it openly in interviews? Isn't BED a reason to they reject to operate? Should we be honest about it? N
roundisashape 712 Posted June 15, 2015 I was, but I committed to continuing therapy and I think that helped.
mayara 6 Posted June 15, 2015 It is only a reason if it is too uncontrolled 'cause it can be dangerous to binge eat short after the surgery. If it was an absolute contraindication, half of us wouldn't be eligible for the surgery. My surgery was delayed before because I was psychologically unstable. But that was for the best, as I really wasn't prepared for the changes I would be going through. I believe it is good to be honest, so you can decide if it is the best moment for WLS. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted June 15, 2015 I would caution that if you need to be anything less than honest in your psych eval and with your surgeon and other Doctors who need to clear you for surgery, you aren't ready for the surgery. There is one goal, to have a safe surgery and recovery and in the best place for you to succeed in your weight loss. If you need to lie to yourself or your medical team you are doing a great disservice to yourself and are risking your life.
