How is everyone prepping for very fast size changes? I was told to buy a small wardrobe in different sizes. My surgery should be in October so I've only been collecting fall/winter clothing. Love thrift stores!

I honestly haven't prepped for it. I guess I'll use some rope to hold my pants up! LOL.

Thrift store shopping is a great idea though my surgery will be end of August. What did you buy thus far, like 2-3 sizes smaller than you currently are?

All clothing will be purchased from thrift store until I reach my goal. Then I will buy some kick ass new stuff! Hopefully in a size 10!

I'm fortunate to have 4 sisters, all varying sizes, so I plan to visit their closets for clothes they can't or don't wear. I have also gone to Goodwill as I've lost and gotten a couple of pairs of pants in my new size :) that was fun. I've also bought a pair of pants a couple of sizes too small because they were on clearance for $13.00 and I really liked them and I know I can wear them in a few weeks.

As you can tell, I'm having fun with the decreasing sizes!

I inherited stuff from a sister who lost weight before me from size 18 down to 12, and then used marshals/ross/tjmaxx for 10 and when I hit size 8 figuring I'd land there, I Invested quite a bit and then kept dropping, skipped size 6 almost entirely and landed at a 4. I shop and thrift stores a lot now, great bargains on high end stuff! Wish I had leaned that sooner.

Wow size 4??? Congrats!

Yes thanks!!! Crazy right? Never would have guessed. Just got my plastics done last week and the surgeon kept calling me "tiny." Who would have guessed? I've been heavy to obese my whole life and always thought I was big boned or stocky underneath. I was wrong!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
