bnm4 93 Posted July 5, 2015 It's okay - don't feel bad. Every surgeon has a different plan just I just have to go with the flow and trust my surgeons plan. I do get to have Tomato Soup which is my absolute favorite - so as of now I'm a happier camper. My scale and my surgeons scale are very different - so I'm waiting to see the official scale tomorrow. But my mom and sister keep going on about they swear I've already lost inches - even though I feel so bloated I'm not going to fight them on that hahaha
barbado 38 Posted July 5, 2015 I agree with feeling bloated.. I did take a pack of Ramen and cooked it then drank the juice.. something different.
chines66 39 Posted July 5, 2015 I'm still in a lot of discomfort. I am not getting all my liquids and fluids in like I need to. It's so hard. I wake up every morning with a damn headache. I think it's the pain meds making me sick though. I am glad to hear from ya'll though cause I need to hear ya'lls stories and experiences to keep me going. bnm4 93 Posted July 5, 2015 My mom is 5 weeks post op and feels completely normal (but with smaller portions of course) and she just keeps telling me "a few more weeks and you'll be there- just push through!" It also helps that is about 7 weeks I'll be on a cruise - so only eating Soups will help me looks good for the cruise too ????
sleevenv 483 Posted July 5, 2015 I'm feeling great now that MoM did its job! I can drink a 12 oz G2 in 20 minutes as long as I don't gulp. I've gotten 8 oz Protein Shakes down in about 30 minutes. For three days now I'm getting in my fluids and Protein and I don't ever feel overly full. I'm almost feeling like the sleeve isn't working because it's been too easy to drink (I'm on full liquids for three weeks)! I felt crappy yesterday, but it was mostly due to not crapping (sorry)! If it's going badly I worry and if it's going good I worry. Wish I could just relax and let the process do its thing!

Vsg_lma 26 Posted July 7, 2015 It's very encouraging to read your posts. I had surgery yesterday and have so much pain when I drink. Both the bubble effect and the sharp feeling and cramp sensation. It looks like you guys felt back to normal on the fourth or so day. I can't wait!

I'm now a week post op and feel pretty great - if I move a certain way I get a a little pull from my muscles but other than that I'm great! I don't take pain medicine anymore and feel energetic! You are perfect normal to be feeling that pain right now and it's okay to be puny for a couple of days - just know the light is coming at the end of your tunnel soon!! Good luck!! Both the bubble effect and the sharp feeling and cramp sensation. It looks like you guys felt back to normal on the fourth or so day. I can't wait! It gets so much better! Just take it a day at a time. I recommend, if you aren't currently taking anything, some sort of heartburn medication. I'm taking Prilosec and I feel like it's helped tremendously with the bubbles. What also helped was not laying down while I was drinking. I realized that was causing a lot of my discomfort. Good luck!!
