smileybear76 24 Posted July 10, 2015 I have pain with the Water. My surgeon said most people do and he is not sure why. Today is my first day with pureed food.< /p>
smrogg 49 Posted July 10, 2015 @@smileybear76 I am having trouble with Water myself. I want to chug it so bad because my mouth is so dry. I think I'm going to go to the store this afternoon and get some Popsicles.
TeeNahh 40 Posted July 10, 2015 I have that issue too, I have to take a sip keep it in my mouth and tilt my head up to swallow it slowly. Like a chicken lol but it works for me. If you find a solution I also suggest crushed iced in the blender so you're hydrating somehow
smileybear76 24 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) I do think it gets better especially after the drain is removed. Edited July 10, 2015 by smileybear76

Arianna0228 25 Posted July 11, 2015 My days are getting better and better. I'm not nearly as tired as I was the first week. And from the surgery I'm down about 15 pounds so far. And that's really just from last Friday because that is the first day after surgery that I was actually back to my surgery weight. 15 pound off in a week... I'll take it. TeeNahh 40 Posted July 11, 2015 I agree I think the week and a half mark is the turn around point. I feel much better as well since last Tuesday. I made my first trip to the grocery store and while I did it, the only thing was, I had to walk fairly slow and take it easy while there. Either way I'm glad we're all doing great ! Congrats ???? Also that's amazing Ariana ! Congrats ! I'm waiting for the doctors on Monday to see my weight loss since surgery
smrogg 49 Posted July 12, 2015 Well...I had my first dumping experience (yes, already!) last night. My kids got a strawberry banana smoothie and I took about 3 sips and about half an hour later I was done! No gas pains or diarrhea, but it felt like I had an elephant on my chest, heart racing, felt like I couldn't get air in. Best I can describe it as is an anxiety attack. I asked my hubby what the heck was going on with me and he said that's a form of dumping. Lasted for what seemed like forever, but in reality it was about 10 minutes. Needless to say I won't be trying anymore smoothies for awhile...
kell778 46 Posted July 12, 2015 Wow! Three sips?!?! Thanks for sharing. I am glad you're feeling okay now.
