Just had TT, Breast lift w augmentation (never in my life did I think I would need that!) and arm lift three days ago! Feeling surprisingly well, aside from swell hell in my midsection. Even the drains aren't bothering me too much. Hoping for 2-3 of them to come out tomorrow and the fourth on Wednesday if all goes well.

Will take some after pix at some point in the near future, not quite yet though. Happy to answer any questions as things unfold!

Thanks! Hanging in there! Pain isn't bad, but the swelling is awful! Hoping to get at least 2 of my 4 drains out today!

Hi Jess9395. I've been dreading sagging arms so am very interested in hearing how your lift goes. Will there be scars? I once had a Tummy Tuck and that hurt a lot afterwards when it was so tight but it did help (until I gained back weight -- this was before WLS.) I bet yuo are going to look totally awesome! Can I ask how old you are? My skin usd to be pretty elastic but I'm now 65 and I just don't think it will tighten up on it own anymore. I see a jowl/neck lift in my future.

Hey Judy!

I am 45. I've lost 135lbs and for a while my loose skin was just awful... It did come back somewhat. I waited 6 months post goal to See how much would come back and it rebounded maybe 30% from its worst, but despite all the muscle I built underneath (I had 18% body fat going in to surgery) it wasn't gonna come all the way back.

Yes. I will have scars. No such thing as scarless plastic surgery yet. It's always a trade off. For me these scars (elbow to armpit under my arms, hipbone to hipbone in my bikini area and under my breasts/around the Areola and a line connecting like a lollipop) were worth it. I didn't go for the fleur de Lis TT so my skin won't be perfectly tight, but that vertical scar up my belly wasn't worth it. Ditto the thighs, not worth it.

I am doing what I can to help the scars heal best the can (Embrace therapy, silicone treatment, etc) but made the choice that the trade off was worth it! Better scars that shar-pei skin In my case. If you had a TT you have a good idea of how your scars resolve and can make an informed choice!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
