Actually, I guess it's 14 since surgery. Mental math at 0700---not my strong suit!

I've been having problems getting in my protein/water. Also I just ordered some new Vitamins. The ones I have now make me throw up. So that's not doing any good. My pain is minimal haven't had to take anything for pain since about 2 or 3 days post op. My BM's come so rarely now. It's just an adjustment.

Anyone else have a family that is not dealing well with the "head chef" not being able or wanting to do her job..LOL... My husband isn't dealing as well as I had hoped..LOL Also I usually take Zoloft and have been told to stop taking it for right now.. So I'm not the most pleasant person in the world hungry and not medicated is a bad combo for me.. :)

My surgery was June 23rd. I'm still on full liquids. My surgeon is a little stricter on the stages of post op liquids/foods. I'm feeling great. No problems getting in all my liquids, plus some. No nausea at all (not even once).

I've lost a total of 28 pounds since the pre-surgery requirements began (a total of 9 since surgery).

I get to start on soft foods in 3 days, but who's counting, right? LOL

I've moved on to mushy foods, but am so tired by the end of the day. I can only eat 1-2 oz of solids and if I try more I vomit. Still drinking 2 Protein Shakes per day, but averaging only about 500 calories which I think is contributing to the fatigue. I'm worried my body is going to go into starvation mode if I can't get more calories in. Anyone else having solid food/energy struggles?

I'm using the premixed Premier Protein (160 calories). Maybe I should start mixing them myself with milk to get more calories.

I just mix mine in crystal light lemonade and its yummy.. I am able to get my 60g of Protein inn no problem. Started soft stage but not sure what my food options are. I am only doing half a yogort and sometimes the refried Beans. Still struggling with weightloss though. Seems like i hit a stall. So today i increased my workout. Will do that the rest of the week and see how it goes

I'm doing okay. Heartburn is a big issue, which surprises me since I never had it outside of pregnancy preop. I just switched to Nexium and it seems to be helping more than the Prilosec was. Still having some solid food struggles. I'm starting to feel like my surgeon is pushing the solids and 4oz quantities too fast. Cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese strings, re fried Beans are all well tolerated. meat (chicken, fish, pork, deli meat) are not. I haven't even tried beef yet and don't think I will anytime soon. So...I guess I'm sort of vegetarian these days?!

I'm doing good.. Nearly back to normal. I can stomach pretty much whatever. I have really started to push the exercise. I drop a pound and stall for a few days to a week and then drop another pound.... I'm still learning how to stop eating when I get my signal. I've been doing better with my Protein I've been using my Protein Shakes as a Breakfast Meal Replacement (I hate breakfast foods). I also eat Protein Bars at lunch or sometimes some Beans. I try to eat a normal dinner. Of course protein first. I'm having issues with the not drinking while eating thing... I used to drink iced tea while I cooked dinner. Which of course makes it so that I can't eat much. So I've been able to stop that, now that I notice it. I hit the 40lbs total loss yesterday. All things considered I feel pretty good. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Nice to see that this thread is still going! I have now lost 51lb total from my per-surgery weight. I am starting to worry though because everything is really feeling normal... I can eat pretty much anything and I can eat a whole lot more than I expected that I would be able to. For example- I can eat a whole can of refried Beans. I know that we are not supposed to, but I tested eating slowly until I felt "full" and there is was... I finished the can and still didn't feel full. Though, I now (or try to) just stick to eating until I am not hungry and then stopping.

I am also enjoying having to go into old boxes of clothes that I used to wear before I gained so much weight.

All in all, I am really happy that I did the sleeve.

Hope everyone is doing well (it sounds like it)

I am still restricted with my food. I can eat anything i want But in small quantities. But i seem to drink as much as i wasn't. Very weird though. Plain Water makes me nauseous for some reason. I use crystal light or i drink the g2.

It is so nice to hear from everyone, Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I am having no problems. I went for my 6 week checkup today and I am cleared to eat what I want and to work out at the gym. The doctor said my pouch is fully healed and all my blood work came back normal. I really don't feel like I had surgery except for the fact that I can't eat the amount I used to. I have so much energy, lost 32 pounds and have gone down one size. I had a stall at 3 weeks but it is slacking off this week and the scale is starting to move again.

This is the best decision I ever made. Does everyone else still agree?

I have been stalling now for a few weeks... I do feel great otherwise. Lots of energy. Exercise 4 to 5 days a week.. Think am losing much more inches than the pounds because my clothes are all falling off me and i am about 3 pant sizes down. I will really love the scales too move more though.. At my 6 weeks doctor said i only needed to lose 5lbs a month. But even that has not happened this month.. I'll increase my Protein and Water intake again as i am working out more. Hope everyone is doing better!

I started working out last week and although I haven't truly stalled yet, my scale actually went up 1 lb. I weigh myself daily (bad habit, I know!), but only log my weight once a week. I'm still down for the week overall. I'm with you on the clothes though! The pants I bought one week postop that were too tight are now getting too big and I just pulled them out to see if I fit in them yet!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
