As someone who just finished her pre-op testing, I am so grateful for the inspiration I am getting from all you veterans. My surgeon also gave a conservatove estimate of weight loss, but I absolutely believe I can go all the way. More so now, thanks to all your inspiring stories.

Do you guys think the surgeon gives us a weight loss estimate based on if we choose to only eat better? Surely, if we continue to eat properly and exercise, there is no reason we can't get down to where we wish to be? Maybe they all think we are lazy SOB's lol. I'm insulted haha.

Getting a good deal of weight off is what's important....exact poundage varies....you want to be healthy with a good BMI.
