xslimjenx 23 Posted August 7, 2015 Also for the first couple of weeks I haven't had much of an appetite. And I've been slacking on my liquids. Everything I attempted to drink made me nauseous. I have a low tolerance for sugar free foods. They make me cough up phelgm eww I know. But this past couple of days I've force myself to drink more

BarrySue 602 Posted August 8, 2015 I will be a month post-op on Tuesday, down 43 lbs. My tastes have changed quite a bit, basically limited to three or four things like don't gross me out or cause me pressure/pain. I'm having trouble getting above 500 calories per day because of it. Ugh, can't wait for my sleeve to heal more so I can tolerate meat!
doubledinfla 84 Posted August 8, 2015 My typical day: 1 Protein Shake (160 cal, 30 protein) 4oz cottage cheese (90 cal, 10 protein) 4 oz refried Beans purée (100 cal, 5 protein) sometimes w sprinkle of cheese 4 oz of Greek yogurt (110 cal, 15 G protein) 1/2 Protein shake (80 cal, 15 protein) That's 540 calories, 75 protein. I need to add fruit and veg soon. Meet w NUT Wednesday. What are you guys eating?
ChanteurSF 18 Posted August 8, 2015 I haven't as focused on calories as I have been following the meal plan suggestion in my bariatric binder. Eating the right foods in the right portions has been the winner for me. Also, if I make anything that needs to be puréed, I ALWAYS add my Protein broth. I find the more protein intake in, as well as the constant sipping of Water also helps. I don't drink any crystal light type drinks. I HATE artificial sweeteners, and by not drinking those drinks, I feel like I'm keeping those chemicals out of my body and that is keeping my system clean. Just ordered some new protein powder from Quest Nutrition. One of them is a multi-purpose powder for baking, etc. they have GREAT recipes that will will be able to integrate very soon. They act as a reminder that there is still GREAT food out there for us to eat! (Especially for this of us that love to cook!)
