swoman2 11 Posted June 14, 2015 Just received my approval from BCBS. I'll be so glad to get rid of this band and start loosing weight and getting in shape! I've had to have all Fluid removed. So many issues with trying fills then having to get unfilled. The band just didn't work for me. My cardiologist actually thinks it's causing my high heart rate issues. She specializes in electro-cardiology and has seen this issues in several lap band patients. The only requirement I had was the barrium swallow results, list of my mediations, list of my vital signs from my last 6 month primary doc visits and lapband surgical report. My Bariatric doctor submitted to insurance early in the AM about 9ish, I got the call of approval at 2pm that same day. Surgery was 2 weeks later.
