lapband78 30 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Ok so before I got banded I loved getting Chinese food (deep fried shrimps mmmm), pizza, burgers or something like that on Friday evenings. But today that is not allowed and I'm ok with that, but I still want something really good for friday evenings. But something that does not include Pasta, bread or deep fried food. What do you guys do if you want to treat yourself with food? Just something that makes your mouth Water and you can't wait to eat. . I think that tonight I'm going to make a lettuce burger.http://foodimakemysoldier.com/lettuce-wrapped-cheeseburgers/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+blogspot/UxlzH+(Food+I+Make+My+Soldier) I think it looks really good. I'm just going to have my own ingredients and try to have it healthy Edited June 12, 2015 by nickelbv
gowalking 10,790 Posted June 12, 2015 For me, a treat is dessert when I eat out. I always eat smart when I go out to dinner. Lean Protein, veggies, and a little bit of carbs. No fried, no heavy sauces, no 'extras' that load on the calories/salt. By doing this, I get to enjoy eating at a restaurant without messing up my meal plan. So, I allow myself a few fork or spoonfuls of some yummy dessert with my coffee. That's my treat without doing damage. If you like Chinese, there are healthier options than fried shrimp. If you want pizza, have one slice with a side salad. Or a burger without the bun. This way you enjoy a treat and don't sabotage your progress.

Julie norton 2,850 Posted June 16, 2015 Strangely enough, going out for fresh fish is a real treat for me! Sheesh! Never thought I would really say that. This week I made twice baked potatoes . I can have the broccoli and potato mixed up w/ some cheese and leave the skin ( too clogging for my band) I'm with Liz on the couple of bites of something yummy if I'm out. food just can't command my attention like it used to. Thankfully!
