There are medications that the doctor can prescribe. The most common and the ones that are easiest to get them to prescribe is Meridia and Xenical. Xencial however was just made available over the counter in 1/2 does as Alli. (This is the one with the messy side effects) Meridia is an appetite suppressent and it did nothing for me. I have also taken Phentermine but my doc. would not prescribe it so I went to a shady weight loss clinic where they pretty much hand it out to anyone for $100. They all have some pretty concerning side effects (heart palpations, ect.) but the phentermine does work short term. Also, more than likely your insurance will not pay for them anyway, mine never did and I one time paid $250 for Xenical and only took two of them.

Hi

I use Bontril that the doct. prescribes, and have had no bad side effects...but allot more energy.

It is only 28 a month

I have tried it all and insurance never covered any of it. The MyAlli that is newly available over the counter is just a smaller dose of xenical. For me, none of the weight loss meds had any long term success.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
