Miss Mac 6,262 Posted June 11, 2015 RANT: So, this morning, while checking in on my bariatric peeps, I see eight (8) posts from more low numbered posters just throwing useless non-bariatric links at us. I am expecting recent posts from forum members and just see crap except for a couple of folks. WTH?
jeanniereenie 177 Posted June 11, 2015 i was thinking the same thing! someone call the Marines! we have to take back our forum!

ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted June 11, 2015 I duly reported but yeah what a pain! Spammers be gone! We need a block button for people we don't ever want to see in our feed again!
Stevehud 1,790 Posted June 11, 2015 they are going to have to block IP addresses as this person is persistent in creating new accounts it seems.
amazon 579 Posted June 11, 2015 yah, I've been reporting them but I can't keep up. As a former web admin...Spammers need a special place in Hell.

Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted June 11, 2015 Never click on those weir links. I reported them when I saw them. Alex asked me not to delete posts outright or they would be GONE by n ow..Haha. I am sure he will take care of them soon. Report em if you see this kind of thing. You have my permission (as do all the mods) to mark a member as a spammer. Once you do that, their posts are permanently deleted. Only use when it's outright spam (like today) and not when it's a questionable spammy sounding post. Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted June 11, 2015 It seems that the spammers found a way to work around the spam filters we have in place. It's a never ending battle with these guys. Most spam is posted by automated software bots and not actually people. The best way to notify us of spam is by using the REPORT button found below each post. The button is a bit hidden unless you mouse over it:
