strength4fear 11 Posted June 10, 2015 Surgery date is 6/24. Started pre op diet today. There is a lot going though my head. Am I ready? Can I do this and do it forever? I have always failed in maintaining. There is a lot to consider. Everyone I talk to says it is the best decision they ever made but it is a hard road. In my mind there is no going back. Can you give me some of your thoughts that helped you get thru?
vickylg 36 Posted June 10, 2015 It was the best decision I have made in a very long time. I started the process 5 years ago and then chickened out. This time I had done a lot of research and I decided to go for it. My hospital stay I experienced hardly no pain at all. So I'm so happy with my weight loss I have lost 70 lbs since February 26 2015. I wish you lots of luck with your journey and a quick recovery.
ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted June 10, 2015 It has been absolutely the best decision for me. I started eating better at my consult in January and had the sleeve done May 15th. I am down 56 pounds with more to go. The sleeve is a permanent procedure but I wanted permanent. My mind is made up and I am committed to this lifestyle forever. If you are ready and it sounds like you are then you will have success. Nerves are normal and we all have been there. The beginning is tough but it gets easier every day! Good luck!! strength4fear 11 Posted June 11, 2015 Thank you both for your comments. I sat down with my kids and husband tonight and really talked about how this will change not just my life but theirs as well. I am thanking God for their support.
