dizzy and lightheaded

Recommended Posts

Has anyone experienced dizziness, lightheaded and blurred vision after eating? I starting getting this every now and then, now I get these syptoms with every meal, no matter what I eat, or the amount I eat?

I' m wondering if this has anything to do with the surgery? Please help!:help:

I get that way every time I get food stuck. It usually passes quickly. If it doesn't, I can be fairly sure that I'll be barfing in about 20 minutes. One time it was so bad I almost passed out! Obviously, whenever this happens, I stop eating and make sure I wait a few hours before I even drink again.

I have been dizzy and light-headed since the surgery (not necessarily when eating, but all the time) and it is just beginning to let up now. (I am three weeks out from surgery) I have done searches on this forum and other places. From what I read, I have concluded that it is a result of the surgery. Some posts say that the vagus nerve lies up against where the band is sewn to the stomach, thus when the stomach is swollen or healing, it could be irritating this nerve. This nerve can cause the dizziness, as well as various other things, such as suppressing hunger, hiccups, etc. The posts I read said as the swelling subsides it will go away. Also, some posts said this may be your 'full' message.

Hi, I have recently been experiencing severe headaches, nausea, vomitting right after or during a meal. Could my band be infected. I have had my band for 2 years now and I lost 70lbs with it.
