I'm a belly sleeper. I start on my back then roll over to lay on my stomach for the night.

I'm wondering if this will change once I have WLS and for how long?

Thoughts?

I don't sleep on my belly, but I do get spinal epidurals and must lay on my belly for them. It was three months before I felt comfortable in trying it, but I did fine and was already fifty pounds down.

I am a stomach sleeper too, since a baby! I had to stay off my stomach for a few weeks because of the pain, but after that I was okay. Every time I needed to move around I had to move slowly because of the soreness. I still sleep on my stomach even after the weight loss. So it's pretty much for me only a few weeks out of my life that I had to alter my sleeping.< /p>

Probably 2 or 3 weeks I had to lay on my back/side, until I was healed enough for it to be comfortable.

The first few weeks I slept a little upright with two pillows. Then I moved one to the side long ways so that I could be propped up a little so that it wouldn't be as painful. But after 3 weeks you should be fine.

Tummy sleeper here, too! I put a pillow between my legs and layed as much on my side/stomach as I could. It was only for a couple weeks.

like babbs i sleep with a pillow between my legs, and try to do more side than belly now, you will be amazed what happens when you lose the weight, you find these things sticking out of you, i think they call them...bones? lol seriously its weird getting accustomed to new positions because you are a lot more comfortable in different positions.

I have a wedge pillow to prop me up if needed. Once my belly gets smaller.... sleeping habits may change also. Thanks for the input.

I ended up sleeping on my side while I was in the hospital, holding a pillow against my stomach. My first night at home, I was back on my stomach, and I've been that way since. For me, once I got into position I was perfectly fine---so it hurt for a second while I got adjusted, and then it was okay. If you flip in your sleep, you may not even really notice it!

I ended up on my belly a few days after surgery and was fine.

I'm a stomach sleeper and I was doing it in the hospital. I just used a pillow to prop up against. Same thing at home - I use a pillow and I haven't had any problems.

I didn't have much issue with this. I was on my back a couple days then my side a couple days then I was on my belly like normal. I was aware of my stitches and I made careful moves in the night but all in all, it was nothing for me to worry about.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
