Sinclairj75 76 Posted June 9, 2015 So I have never posted in the forum before. I want to thank everyone who has posted however, as I have found a ton of great information in here on a number of subjects. I had my 6 month post op visit today. My starting weight was 377 lbs on December 15th. As of today, I am down to 229 pounds. I've lost 148 pounds in 6 months!! It's really kind of like a dream most days, it just doesn't seem real. I have definitely put in the work between what I eat and when/how I exercise. I am very proud of that. I still feel like I have another 30-50 pounds to lose, but I also know my body will stop when it is ready. Anyway, I just wanted to share my success with you all. Keep up the great work everyone and don't give up!!

JamieLogical 8,710 Posted June 9, 2015 Congratulations and thanks for finally coming forward and posting. I know a lot of people don't feel comfortable posting, but it's important to help out the new folks by posting the good and the bad, so they know what they have to look forward to. Hopefully your success story will help give others the courage to choose WLS for themselves! Wow. 148 pounds is a LOT to lose in 6 months. You must be feeling fantastic! laguerr13 993 Posted June 10, 2015 Your post was very inspiring to me, I hit 398 last year, I got so terrified that by January I was 388 and I knew I would gain it back like I always did, after 2 years of planning and researching I less than 8 hours from surgery, I weighed in at 362.2 about 2 weeks ago, then last week at 349 so by tomorrow I should be at 346, and I hope after the surgery I do even half as well as you, thank you for sharing that, it means a lot. Sinclairj75 76 Posted June 10, 2015 @@laguerr13 You are going to do great! Follow the doctors orders and get moving. You are going to lose weight simply due to the fact that you won;t be taking in all those calories, but walking and exercising has made all the difference for me. I hope your surgery went well!! I know the first couple days were a bit rough for me. Congratulations on beginning the rest of your life!!
