Hey there. . I'm sitting at work and going through the weekend in my mind. . My enthusiasm in the beginning was on fire, nothing else mattered than being grateful for the chance and using the tools I've been given. Almost 7 weeks out and 35 pounds down I'm still grateful but my mood and enthusiasm is in the toilet. I'm anxious and feeling down. Feeling that I'm going to spoil this for sure. Feeling my food addiction speaking to me again. Feeling that I've used so much money for nothing and I'm going to let my closest family down. . Well that's what I'm feeling.

Have you found a way to visually account for all of the lbs lost? For example I buy myself a pretty fake flower for every 10 lbs lost. As the bouquet grows I can visually recognize that I'm making changes. You need to be proud of what you've done so far, it will push you to continue to stay focused! Are you using myfitnesspal or anything? Gotta stay on it!

@@bangbangbarbie what a great idea, Rona<3 we have all been on a downward spiral at some point mine has been the last two weeks.

Why because I was doing everything right and not seeing any positive changes come from my hard work. I changed things up eliminated sugars, increased my Protein and try to have little carbs as possible and I have seen the scales move down and that has boosted me so much.

Do you feel this is the same for you, after all the expense and missing food that you are not being rewarded by the scales to show for it?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
