need change 36 Posted June 6, 2015 Sleeved on Wednesday. I feel good, but I have a low grade fever (99.8) has anyone else had a low grade fever post-op? Dr said to call if 101. I guess I'm just nervous.
laura4923 137 Posted June 6, 2015 Low grade fever is normal after any surgery! It is your body's response to the inflammation caused by just having most of your stomach removed. Follow your post op instructions and call if >101 or if you have foul drainage or red, angry looking incisions. Hope this helps...I'm a nurse and these are the instructions we give our patients at discharge.
need change 36 Posted June 6, 2015 Thank you! It is so easy to get paranoid about every little thing. My fever was by this morning, so I was worried for nothing.
cantseemytoes 49 Posted June 6, 2015 Sleeved on Wednesday. I feel good, but I have a low grade fever (99.8) has anyone else had a low grade fever post-op? Dr said to call if 101. I guess I'm just nervous. I was sleeved on Wednesday too, and had a low fever yesterday. Today I'm fine, except for the air that I can feel moving around in my body. Damn, that is painful. need change 36 Posted June 9, 2015 How are you, icantseemytoes? I still have a 99.8 temp. My incision sites look a little red, but my mom says they're fine (eye roll.) all of them itch and I got above 35 oz today.
