Fitbit One here. I really wanted a Charge HR, but With my job, it's not practical to wear something on my wrist. clipping the One on my pocket or waistband works great. Seems pretty accurate and stays on very well. Just have to remember to clip it on each morning but that's pretty routine now. Battery life is great I maybe charge it every 10-14 days.

The only thing I don't like is that you can't turn it on/off. I sometimes forget to take it off when I go riding, so it ends up recording 20,000+ steps I didn't take. Short of being able to turn it on/off, it would be nice to be able to manually adjust the step count when things like that happen. I would think that would be any easy feature to add to the app.

****edit**** so I just discovered that if you enter "driving" as an activity, it will delete all steps taken during that time period. So the one thing I didn't like about my Fitbit is now fixed. Yay!!

Fitbit charge. I like it had it for six months. I wish I had known the new one had a heart rate monitor and I would have waited a few weeks.

I just bought a Fitbit charge HR. I walk a lot at my job when college is in session, but during the summer I work at a desk. So my main use is to add activity to my regular day and to try and match my activity during the summer. It does motivate me to hit goals.

I have a Fitbit Flex and I don't use it. I track my intake on MyFitnessPal, and my exercise is running and circuit training, so it really doesn't work for those activities. It's more of a step tracker, and I don't find it to be very accurate at that! Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

I have the flex. LOVE it. It really keeps me on track. I haven't had surgery yet but I like that it tracks my steps and sleep pattern. Mine syncs to my phone and I can track all my calories and liquids on my phone. Really am glad I have it and will definitely continue to use it after I have my surgery.

I have the charge hr. I LOVE it. I love the screen and being able to check it at random. I love that it tracks my heart to give me a good picture of my real calories burned. Love that it connects to my fitness pal. It alerts me when I get a call (very handy as I often forget to turn my ringer on after work and I have a sick mom that calls me when she needs help). I really like that I push myself to see more steps.

I have the Fitbit ChargeHR. I love it. I've tried the bodymediafit, and the jawboneUP24 also the bodymediafit was good except it was to noticeable. The jawbone I did like, but after having to get a replacement three times in 6 months I was done with it, even though I just got the newest replacement in the mail, I already switched to Fitbit. I feel like it keeps me accountable. I like seeing the steps I've taken. When I didn't have it I would be lazy, but with it if I don't see it over a certain amount of steps I get disappointed in myself. So if I hadn't had a chance to go to the gym or its my off day I will still go take a walk to get them up. The only two things which I wish were different on the one I have is battery life, I wish was a little better, and I wish it were waterproof. But I just stick it on the charger when I get in the shower

I love my fitbit! It's also a great reminder to get moving each day. The workweek hustle with friends is a great motivator.

I have the Fitbit Charge and I love it. With it synced to myfitnesspal it easily shows me what I've burned based on the number of steps. I too like to challenge myself to get between 8-10k steps per day since I'm sitting all day for my job.

I have the Fitbit flex (the basic one) and I love it! It's kinda fun seeing how many steps you take each day, and seeing how many miles you walk. I make a game out of it and try to do better each day, even if it's just a couple steps! You get badges for completing certain milestones and you can compete in fun games with your friends. It's a great tool!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
