tberger74 4 Posted June 4, 2015 I am looking for a good app to track my Water, Protein, exercise etc. I would like it to be more specific to WLS. I tried fitday, but it makes my brain nervous because it tells you how many calories you can have for the day, well we all know we aren't eating anywhere near that amount :-) I am concerned about my protein intake though. Thank you!
F4T-TRAP 37 Posted June 4, 2015 MyFitnessPal is hugely popular, and integrates with lots of other apps. Fitbit also.
muzical1 85 Posted June 4, 2015 I like the Loseit App. It's easy to use and informative.
aelovelady 243 Posted June 4, 2015 The App Store has quite a few new ones that actually track Water, Vitamins, medication etc. I use my fitness pal, but I am not tracking water etc. it just has the most extensive database of food, I don't pay that much attention to the calories as the nutrition and volume
Spiceyfrog 269 Posted June 4, 2015 Sadly, I ended up purchasing a journal because I could not find an app that just everything I wanted. I liked MyFitnessPal, but you cannot adjust the grams of Protein only select a percentage. I purchase my journal at Barnes & Noble and love it. It's titled "Diet Minder", about 6" X 9", spiral bound and there are two pages for every day. You start by writing the date and day # (this is nice for preop diet), there are categories for Breakfast, snack, lunch, Snack, dinner and Snack, you can track calories, fat grams, carbs, Fiber and Protein. There are totals for each meal, then a daily total for each category. There is also a section each day where you can record vitamins/supplements and physical activity. Anyway, may be old school writing everything down, but I love it.
RNYGal 47 Posted June 4, 2015 I use WaterYourBody... You can set how many Oz or ml or whatever you're measuring and it sends me reminders when I haven't been getting my fluids in.
