lex8701 15 Posted June 4, 2015 June 18th is the big day. I've been so excited every since I got approved but once I got my date I started having second thoughts !! Has this happened to anybody else? I'm still going to do it. It's one thing to go thru the process but now I have my date in 2 weeks. I can't wait ....or maybe I can lol.

Yup, I just had a meltdown in the bathroom at work, complete with sobbing and hyperventilating. But I'm also on my period plus on the pre-op liquid diet, so I'm all over the place mentally and emotionally right now. :/
jane13 2,256 Posted June 4, 2015 I think a lot of us felt that way ~ - I have the surgical date! - Huh? OMG can I go thru with the surgery? Make sure you are mentally and physically ready. research and follow all the of the doctors orders. hydrate up until the LAST minute - waiting for the leak test was insane for me. lex8701 15 Posted June 4, 2015 I'm ready for it but I'm nervous everyday that passes I keep getting closer. My doctor only has me doing a clear liquid diet 1day before so I'm not getting the hell of a few weeks of only liquids which is good o suppose but I haven't read anybody else only do one day. It's nerve racking ????????. And I keep having dreams about being in pain afterwards. I think that's my biggest fear of the surgery !
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted June 4, 2015 @@lex8701 : Not too long now and I guess nerves will play a part. Just make this time fly by with preparing for afterwards. Make broth, clean the house, sort out all the laundry, meet with friends and family, go shopping for something really nice for yourself, do lots you might not be able to do for a while after the op. Mine is July 23rd and I have a ton of stuff to keep me busy once July 1st hits. In Alex's book it states you should take time to prepare, cover every eventuality, boring but needed anyway... In very excited for you and wish you all the best in your run up to 'the day' Kind Regards Kate
