dhrguru 1,238 Posted June 4, 2015 I skipped my PCP and started with the surgeon directly. I emailed the office for referrals etc, never saw them till after surgery. I'd call your insurance first, see what their requirements are. Then you'll know what records you need from your PCP, if any. Best of luck!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
lex8701 15 Posted June 4, 2015 I did the same. I went directly to the surgeon. I honestly only went to my pcp for my letter of medical necessity and I'm going to get medical clearance. I got my 6 month weigh ins Clearance from my PCP nutritionist clearance Physiatrist Clearance Cardiac and Pulmonary sleep Study Endoscopy I called my insurance and made appointments on my own and didnt need referrals Everything took only 7 months getting surgery next week Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
