I'm scheduled for 1:15pm on Monday. A little nervous but ready to go. Anyone have a suggestion for a good Protein shake/brand? I really have never liked any I have tried over the years. Also anyone else having one next week?

So far Premier Protein is my favorite. Sometimes I add flavorings to mix things up a bit. Things like PB2, Stevia, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, Decaf instant coffee.< /p>

I'm June 8 too! I have tried WonderSlim, Celebrate, and Bariatric Advantage. I really like the first 2 but Bariatric advantage is ok too. I've tried the chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, and cinnamon roll flavor sand have been surprising good. Since I've been on my period-op diet for 2 weeks, have tried quite a few of them.

My surgery is on 6/9. I've been on a liquid diet for the past two weeks which has consisted of Protein shakes and chicken broth. The DR sold me Fortify BariEssentials. It's actually pretty decent. They also gave recipes to change it up abit. My favorite is to add Decaf coffee grounds. I heard powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury is also good.

Good luck to all of you that had your surgery! Unfortunately I had to postpone mine. My back went out on Wed. night and can't walk, etc. very well and will have an injection Thursday. Hope I can get rescheduled in 2-3 weeks. This has been a very hard, depressing day. The forum is motivational when I read all of your victories.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
