Fmla and surgery in mexico

Anyone out there have to use fmla after surgery in Mexico? Did you have your pcp in the states sign your paperwork? What did you do?

I requested the FMLA paperwork because the dr office requested it "just in case". Had to have bosses sign for request. I told them elective procedure (I was taking vacation) and it was for "just in case" for the dr office (they wanted it). I never needed it but didn't want to share my elective surgery until I was ready.

I plan on doing the FLMA paperwork just in case.
