I'm two weeks post op and can eat an entire egg. Is this normal? I chew it really really well so maybe this is why. I was expecting to not be able to eat an entire boiled egg

At two weeks post up I could eat an egg...eggs are pretty mushy and go down pretty easily for most. When you get to other foods like meats it will be different. Enjoy your eggs!!

I am a band-to-bypass revision patient and I was SHOCKED at how easily I injest eggs! I have had them hard boiled and scrambled and they don't get stuck like they did when I was banded. I try to eat 1 egg a day just because that meal is so very enjoyable. :)

Lucky! I'm 8 months out and can eat 1/2 a scrambled egg in one sitting.

Yes it is. Because so many had shared that they got full from "just two bites" I was so worried about being able to eat a whole egg or 1/3 cup of just about anything without feeling any fullness or restriction. I was certain I was going to be the freak of nature that the surgery wasn't going to work for. I talked to my dietician, surgeon and bariatric trainer and they all reassured me that eating that amount was normal. I started feeling more restriction and satiety around 9 weeks.

I can easily eat 1 whole hard boiled egg (and I am 5 months post op) however, I struggle with the scrambled eggs... Very weird!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
