imjenn 167 Posted June 3, 2015 Don't feel so bad! I've been struggling to get under 290 for the past week! The scale will move, you're most likely stalled.
gowalking 10,790 Posted June 3, 2015 It's just a number. Yes...I understand it's an important number, but it's still just a number. Just do what you've been doing and stay off the scale for a while. Then when you do get on it, you should be under that 300 lb. mark by a nice amount.
*Lexie* 1,486 Posted June 3, 2015 That cruel scale danced around the 200lb mark for me for almost 2 weeks. But it finally dropped below and stayed there. Hang in there, it'll happen.
MichelleTN 169 Posted June 3, 2015 Try upping your calories & exercise. It worked for me when I was in a stall. Then I lowered my calories back a few days later.
meSparkle83 153 Posted June 3, 2015 Thanks everyone! I appreciate the support! I will take everyone's advice and have my daughter hide the scale again..
leag78 469 Posted June 3, 2015 I know how you feel struggling to get out of the 300s myself. I'm down to 308, so if I don't stall, again, I should be under 3 by next week or so. Hang in there.
Miss Meg 199 Posted June 3, 2015 The scale can be really rude sometimes... Sometimes you can be carrying a little extra Fluid especially women, so try not to fret about it, keep doing the right thing and it will get back on track...
MichiganChic 3,262 Posted June 3, 2015 I have a love-hate affair with my scale. I am a daily weigher. I just am, and I feel it contributes to my success. Other people can do without it, and it's a personal choice. I just wanted to say that I feel your pain, and it's normal. Soon this will be a distant memory. To this day, I will still flip off and curse at the inanimate object, lol. So, yell at the thing, move on, and keep doing what you know you need to do. AussieSam 234 Posted June 3, 2015 I think you might have a lot of salt in your diet and lots of salt causes Water retention if so minimise your salt intake as much as you can and you may see about a 6 to 7 lb difference.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted June 3, 2015 I agree about the salt. If I add salt to anything, it will be on my eggs at Breakfast. Later in the day, salt will tip the scale for me the next morning, too. To resist salt at lunch and dinner, I just add extra pepper or other herbs and spices.
leag78 469 Posted June 3, 2015 Yeah I like to use Mrs. Dash instead of salt. At first I was a salt fanatic, so it took a little getting use to, but now I don't even think about it anymore.
imjenn 167 Posted June 3, 2015 My stall broke today! After about a week and a half! Be patient!
jane13 2,256 Posted June 3, 2015 @@meSparkle83 - you are a scale junkie! So am I. I cannot get it to move under 240. I sooooo badly wanted to be there at the first f/u visit post surgery but NNnnnnooooooooOOOOoo, still 241. I am going to watch my salt intake drink more and maybe bump the calories up a smidgen to see if my stall may break.
