too tight for broth?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I went in for another fill today.

my last fill was in February and he added 1 cc which i assume would have brought me to 2.5 since my first was 1.5 in Dec.

Today i went in and he added 1.5 - so basic math tells me that i'm maxed out? Do fills evaporate?

I took myself to a movie - you wouldnt believe how fast a person can run past the consession stand holding her breath to not smell the popcorn!

Anyway I stopped at panera for some chicken noodle Soup & brought it home.

I just had maybe 3 spoons of the broth and i feel like I have a chicken leg in my chest!!

I hope this passes and that i'm not really this tight, I can go in and get fixed within 2 weeks of my fill and not pay more - but the hour trip into the city, 18 for parking for a few minutes. I start a new job downtown on 7/2 so i could go in that thursday but ...

guess i'll ride out the weekend but man oh man!! :omg:

The same happened to me a few days ago. I got a fill from 2.0 to 2.7. When I got home, Water went down SLOW. Then I almost choked on chicken noodle Soup. I couldn't tolerate it. I PB'd on soup!!! I went back to water for the rest of the day. Then for the next 2 days I just sipped water, sugar free popsicles and plain broth (no noodles). I feel much much better today. I was ready to go to the ER the first night because I felt severe reflux and was very weak from not eating all day. BUtI toughed it out........AND IT GOT BETTER...

I can still feel liquids going down slow, but they don't get stuck. Today (which is the 3rd day after the fill, I was able to eat a few cubes of cheese without any problem. So I couldn't be that tight. I also had a thicker soup for lunch and I did ok.

thanks! I think I need to be more patient.

I took too big of a gulp of Water on my way to work this morning and felt horrible! I was sliming on water! Didn't think it was posible. which made the commute to work gross.

I've been trying to sip my Protein Drink for the last 2 hours. I feel hungry but i will sllooow down.

It sounds like you really need an unfill. You should be able to drink liquids fine. if you keep this fill you are risking dehydration and malnutrition. Go to the city and pay the 20 bucks in the long run it will be worth it.

I agree with Ariel, it's a good idea to go get a small unfill, rather than spending some time in the ER with an IV for fluids because you waited too long, and are dehydrated.

I'm so stupid.

Why didnt i call the doc right away??? I called at 2 after I spit up my 1/4 cup of broth lunch. they asked if i could get there by 3. Not into the city from romeoville! i drive fast but not that fast!!

i'm scheduled at 10:15monday morning.

i'm freaking out since i seem to spit out every sip i take!! this so cant be good.

I know i wanted to get over my 48# plateu but this is NOT the way i wanted to do it! ugh.

i may have to see if liquid tylenol pm stays down and just sleep thru the weekend! ugh.

If you are still having trouble getting liquids down, try warm liquids, that can help loosen things up a bit. Warm tea, and then maybe some room temperature Water.

Monday is a long way away if you can't drink anything!
