SmilingBeauty 223 Posted June 2, 2015 I have never had a yeast infection before. I had surgery on May 26th and came home May 28th. Since I've been home I have a funny smell down there. No itching or anything like that. Could it be a yeast infection or just the meds?
AvaFern 3,516 Posted June 2, 2015 I've also never had a yeast infection, but my understanding is that they don't have to itch. You should be able to pick up a Monistat kit at the pharmacy and if it is a yeast infection that will knock it out pretty quickly and if not, it won't hurt you. JamieLogical 8,710 Posted June 2, 2015 Any white discharge? That would be the main symptom.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted June 2, 2015 For those who might know, could it be ketosis? My understanding is that in ketosis, the body releases toxins through the skin, the breath, the poo, urine, so......maybe the vajayjay, too? I am asking, too, on account of I don't know. Djmohr 6,965 Posted June 2, 2015 It could be ketosis. There is no mistaking a yeast infection because of the nasty white discharge, smell and itching. It is definitely possible as antibiotics can cause them and they certainly give you enough of those in the hospital.
BethinPA 305 Posted June 3, 2015 What kind of funny smell? Could be bacterial vaginosis, just your vaginal flora changing along with all of the other changes your body is adjusting to. Only way to know for sure is to see your doctor or nurse practitioner. It is likely something that is easily treated.
00612 12 Posted June 3, 2015 Might be the high doses of antibiotics. Sometimes you cab smell them coming from your pores and urine. High doses cab also cause yeast infection.
