Protein in coffee

Recommended Posts

I was skipping coffee altogether and having a Syntrax Cappucinno every morning... they are so delicious iced. Recently I have been making a cup of coffee, adding a scoop of the Cappuccino and a packet of Stevia, and putting it in a 20 oz tumbler full of ice. I love my iced Cappucinno Protein drink, and will probably drink this all summer it is so good!

If you add Protein Powder to coffee, the coffee really needs to cool down or it will cook and clabber the Protein. I think that is why I prefer to just have mine iced, to me that is better than lukewarm coffee.

I like mixing it with liquid ensure or premiere Protein in chocolate or vanilla. Just like having a latte or mocha but high protein!

I have only tried Starbuck's Protein coffee. I order it like, "venti iced coffee with a scoop of protein, milk, and sugarfree caramel Syrup (or cinnamon dolce). REALLY good. Careful, if they're super busy they may not make it right and you feel so sick.

I use the zero carb Isopure unflavored in my coffee, just have to make sure it's not too hot.

Every morning I have a cup of coffee with GENEPRO unflavored Protein in it. It mixes in with hot or cold beverages just fine. I get it from Amazon. 30 grams of Protein and it's affordable.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
