missheidi47 127 Posted June 4, 2015 I took 2 weeks and was fine. I work in a hospital, and do direct patient care so I had to go back to light duty for 4 weeks. That was a good thing because I could not have done my regular job that soon. The first week or so off light duty (6 weeks post) was a little rough but I feel great now (8 weeks post). nprcowboy 533 Posted June 5, 2015 I was off 3 months due to Complications but had planned 6 weeks since I had the sick time
Rochellevsg 38 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) The plus side is I can take as much time off work as I need, but for financial reasons I only want to take 2 weeks. My issue will be that my job does not allow light duty or restrictions, but my surgeon made it clear he doesn't want me to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for 6 weeks. I'll have to find some way to work this out. Edited June 6, 2015 by Rochellevsg
Kindle 8,667 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) I'm a vet tech and have an active job...on my feet, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting all day. I went back to work after 7 days and was fine. I only had a 20 pounds lifting restriction for 3 weeks, and then was back to the usual 40-60 pounds. I was on full liquids for 3 weeks as well, so made sure to have plenty of drinks and Protein Shakes at work. Edited June 6, 2015 by Kindle
Ms. Nunya 126 Posted June 9, 2015 I plan to take 2-3 weeks. Less if possible, but I don't want to rush things.
