HotATL73 24 Posted June 1, 2015 I am also having a hyena hernia repair if I spelled that right lol with my sleeve. Has anyone else went through that procedure with the sleeve? What should I expect?
ShrinkingPeach 1,291 Posted June 1, 2015 lol...I also had a hiatal hernia and it went fine. I was actually more tender from that than the sleeve. Basically I had a more tender area at the top of my stomach but it felt better after just a couple days for me. It didn't create any other issues than that. Congrats on your upcoming surgery! NikkiDoc 312 Posted June 1, 2015 I had a hiatal hernia repair and sleeve done at the same time. My surgeon said if he hadn't told me about the hernia repair I never would have known. I had a really uneventful recovery. I never had gas pains. I never had incision pain. My worst pain was like I had done WAY, WAY too many sit-ups. I had surgery on a Monday morning and too pain meds through Weds in the hospital. I took a pain med about 45 minutes before my husband picked me up. I had an hour 15 minute ride home and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. I took another right before bed on Weds night just to make sure I would get a good night's sleep and then never took another pain pill- even Tylenol. I don't think the hernia repair made any difference in my recovery.

anikka 32 Posted June 1, 2015 I had a hernia repair done. I didn't even know I had a hernia. I'm 4 days post op today and haven't had any issues other than gas pains, but even those are manageable.
