F4T-TRAP 37 Posted May 31, 2015 My surgery was 04/21/15, and I would like to start running tomorrow. I used to run a lot, half-marathon here and there I feel fine, was thinking I would start out very lightly. Just wondering when others started up running. zanderman 42 Posted May 31, 2015 My surgeon gave the go ahead on all exercise after 2.5 weeks. I'd imagine if you can run, run Forrest.

aelovelady 243 Posted May 31, 2015 I was approved also within a couple of weeks of surgery. Just listen to your body, start slow. Good luck

Ms954jkwd 10 Posted June 1, 2015 I have never been a runner, I got the go ahead to walk when I left the hospital like 10 mins at a time and build up from there. I have medical problems so walking any distance is very hard for me hoping this surgery helps me with this problem. Good luck to all
F4T-TRAP 37 Posted June 1, 2015 I wound up taking it light and just doing 1.5 miles this morning. No discomfort or anything, so works for me. Figured I'll slowly build back up by running 3 or 4 times a week.
kd5wzr 108 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) I started the C25K app yesterday. I was really impressed with myself for doing the entire first day jogging workout without quitting. I would never have even considered doing anything close to this in my pre-sleeve days. It was even... dare I say... fun! F4T-TRAP 37 Posted June 2, 2015 The C25K app is excellent. I started it when I was in the 300s years ago, and from that, went on to the 10K program and then Hal Higdon's half-marathon program. They're all a great way to build up distance -- I can't wait to get back up there again.
